Hilarious stand-up from a British TV icon, Blackadder’s Baldrick
On DVD February 19, 2008
"Tony Robinson is a god of history"—Eddie Izzard
SILVER SPRING, MD; January 3, 2008 —Acorn Media announces the February 19, 2008 DVD release of Tony Robinson’s Cunning Night Out!, offering hilarious tales, tender family stories, and amusing historical anecdotes from one of UK’s most beloved performers. Robinson reminisces on his childhood debut as the Artful Dodger, Blackadder, and beyond. This smash hit one-man show sold out venues throughout the UK.
On the legendary British comedy series Blackadder, Robinson delighted audiences with his portrayal of the dim-witted Baldrick, who always had a “cunning plan” to escape any dire situation. With his subsequent projects, Robinson forged a career out of making history humorous, including the slightly more scholarly but still highly entertaining efforts like the archaeology show Time Team and the documentary series The Worst Jobs in History. In this side-splitting one-man stage show, Robinson careens through the story of his life and the course of history.
Special Features: Q & A session with Tony Robinson, containing his favorite Blackadder moments and the possible future of the series, and “Any Old Iron” sing-along.
