Acorn Media U.S. began as a one-man operation and released its first two titles, both documentaries, in 1984.
Today, Acorn Media U.S. holds exclusive North American distribution rights to hundreds of collectible
titles on DVD. The genres represented include drama, mystery, comedy, science fiction, performance, and
special interest programming.
Acorn Media U.S. has become known for bringing the best of British and Canadian television
to home video, including the popular recent series Slings & Arrows starring Paul Gross, Laurence
Olivier Presents, John Le Carre’s A Perfect Spy, PBS Mystery! hit series Agatha Christie’s
Marple, and Eleventh Hour starring Patrick Stewart; documentaries such as the popular Visions travel series, The Real Da Vinci Code, and Churchill’s Bodyguard; as well as
performance features like Broadway’s Lost Treasures and Soweto Gospel Choir.

In 2006, Acorn Media Group launched Acacia, a healthy joyful living brand encompassing original
